In line with the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to expand the overseas operations of Egyptian petroleum sector companies, open new markets, and maximize engineering and technical service exports, the alliance of Petrojet and Enppi has won a long-term Engineering, Procurement and Construction „EPC” Framework Agreement with Petroleum Development Oman „PDO”, the largest oil and gas exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman.

The agreement was signed at PDO’s headquarters, reflecting the growing confidence that major regional and international energy companies place in Egyptian firms and underscoring their ability to compete for and secure strategic projects in foreign markets.

The six-year agreement names the Petrojet-Enppi alliance as one of only four alliances and international contractors qualified to compete for projects through competitive tenders within a portfolio valued at more than $6 billion. The deal marks a major leap forward in the alliance’s expansion in the Omani market.

The achievement reflects directives from Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, to support the sector’s companies in entering regional and international markets, enhance their competitiveness, and leverage their accumulated experience in executing major energy projects. It is also the result of close coordination between the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Omani Ministry of Energy and Minerals, opening new horizons for bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.

The selection of the Petrojet-Enppi alliance alongside leading global companies highlights confidence in the technical and execution capabilities of Egyptian firms. Both companies have a strong track record in delivering mega projects to the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence, and in providing integrated engineering solutions that ensure efficiency and maximize project value.

As part of its commitment to supporting Oman’s In-Country Value „ICV” targets, the alliance will focus on knowledge transfer, training Omani engineering cadres, and increasing the participation of local companies and national supply chains. This supports sustainable economic development and aligns with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

This milestone further affirms the growing standing of Egyptian petroleum sector companies as a trusted partner in delivering major energy projects regionally and internationally. It also embodies the success of the ministry’s strategy to transform Egyptian expertise into an export-driven force capable of competing for and winning the largest projects in foreign markets.
