The General Secretariat of the Arab League condemned in the strongest terms the continued Houthi attacks targeting the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the latest of which was the launch of a ballistic missile towards the city of Riyadh, in addition to attempts to target a number of other cities and regions in the Kingdom.

The General Secretariat affirmed that the continuation of these attacks represents a dangerous and unacceptable escalation, a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, and a threat to the safety of civilians, which would increase tension and threaten the security and stability of the region.

The General Secretariat renewed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for the measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, stressing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Arab national security.

It called for the immediate cessation of these attacks, avoiding further escalation, respecting the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and adhering to the rules of international law.
