Kaia Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. condemned, unequivocally, the Iranian attacks on several Arab countries, and expressed full solidarity with the countries that were subjected to these unjustified attacks.
This came during a phone call today with Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
Gamal Rushdi, the official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, said that the senior European official was keen to convey a message to the Council of the League of Arab States, which convened today at the ministerial level in an extraordinary session via videoconference to discuss the Iranian attacks on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of several Arab states.
Rushdi, added that Kallas’s message also emphasized the importance of diplomatic solutions and referred to the EU’s efforts to pressure the United States and Israel to exercise restraint.
