Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians expatriats , emphasized that military solutions will only lead to more violence and bloodshed. He stressed the need to respect the sovereignty of states, uphold the principle of good neighborliness, and exercise maximum restraint in this critical phase, while prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy.

This came during a phone call received by the Minister on Saturday, February 28, from Oana Țoiu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, to discuss the dangerous military escalation in the region.

Minister Abdel Aty presented an assessment of the current situation and outlined Egypt’s position, calling for the prioritization of diplomatic solutions to avoid expanding the conflict and preventing the region from slipping into an uncontrollable spiral of escalation that threatens regional and international peace and security.

He also expressed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to contain the escalation and prevent the spread of tension.
