The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States strongly condemned the Iranian attacks on the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It considers these missile attacks a blatant violation of the sovereignty of countries that advocate for peace, have worked to achieve stability, and have not participated in war.
The General Secretariat expressed its full solidarity with the Arab states in confronting these attacks and its support for any measures they take to defend themselves and protect their people.
The General Secretariat emphasized that the Arab states have taken clear positions on the Iranian crisis, rejecting military action against Tehran, and that Arab states have exerted tremendous efforts to mediate and prevent the escalation we are witnessing today.
The General Secretariat is concerned about the enormous danger inherent in the current situation in the region, and appeals to all active parties in the international community to work towards de-escalation as quickly as possible, to spare the region the woes of widening instability and violence, and to return to dialogue.
