The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States (AL) has welcomed the ceasefire agreement and the full integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the institutions and administrative structures of the Syrian state, announced by the Syrian Presidency on January 18.
The League considers this an important step towards building the new Syrian state, strengthening its institutions, and extending its sovereignty over all its territory, within the framework of national partnership, as affirmed by the recent Syrian presidential decree.
The AL General Secretariat reiterated its commitment to all measures that would enhance the sovereignty, stability, unity, and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic and emphasized the importance of continuing and intensifying Arab efforts to support Syria.
