Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit welcomed the US-Iran memorandum of understanding on a sustainable ceasefire and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, while warning against Israeli efforts to undermine the deal and stressing that any final settlement must respect Arab sovereignty, territorial integrity and regional security demands.
