Egypt and Moldova reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations as Ambassador Mohamed Mostafa Orfi presented his credentials to President Maia Sandu at the Presidential Palace in Chișinău. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in key sectors, including energy, agriculture, infrastructure and information technology. President Sandu acknowledged Egypt’s role in promoting stability and peace in the Middle East and expressed appreciation for Cairo’s assistance in evacuating Moldovan citizens during the Gaza conflict. Both sides emphasized continued coordination within the framework of the United Nations and their readiness to deepen economic and strategic cooperation.
